At Risk of Becoming Homeless

If you are worried about losing your home, the sooner you get help, the more options you'll have.
 

  • Contact Maidstone Borough Council’s Housing Options Team on 01622 602440. They can advise on your rights, speak to your landlord, and help prevent eviction.
     

  • If you’re behind on rent or struggling with bills, speak to Citizens Advice Maidstone:

  • Visit Maidstone Day Centre for support, signposting, and help with benefits or budgeting. We can refer you to housing advice and other services.

I am Homeless

If you are sleeping rough or without a safe place to stay, help is available now:
 

  • Maidstone Borough Council can help with emergency housing. Contact the Housing Options Team on 01622 602440 (Mon–Fri) - Visit their website for more guidance.
     

  • Visit Maidstone Day Centre in Knightrider Street, open Monday to Friday, 8am–2pm. We offer hot meals, showers, clothing, and one-to-one support.
     

  • StreetLink provides a wealth of information and help to guide you
     

You don’t have to go through this alone. Speak to someone at the Day Centre or call us on 01622 674064.

I am struggling with food

If you are going without food or struggling to feed yourself or your family, there is help:
 

  • IMaidstone Day Centre provides hot meals every weekday at our centre. (This is for homeless clients only).
     

  • You may be eligible for a Parcel from our Food Bank. Speak to your GP, social worker, Citizens Advice, or come into the Day Centre for help accessing this support.
     

  • Visit on of the various soup kitchens or community food larders in Maidstone. Details can be found here
